This small village north of Chaliseton on the road to Upper Chalise, is
the turnoff point for Silverton and Kaldabor. It has 2 good Inns, a Blacksmith and a
Leatherworks, it also has a small Wood Mill. High Bridge is surrounded on all sides by
thick forest and can only be reached easily by road.

- The Black Adder Inn:
This Inn is
owned by Copil the Adder, a renowned Merchant in his younger days, who bought the Inn in
BY 254 and has run it at a profit ever since. The Inn has 36 rooms and a Common Room that
holds 42 in double bunk beds, and costs 4 florin/night for a room and 1 florin/night for a
bunk. The food at the Black Adder is renowned for its Gaspakian Style Cooking, which is
prepared by Copil's wife Sheindare.
- High Bridge Inn: The High Bridge
Inn has been in this spot for over 1200 years according to local Legend, though most
people will admit it was built, in its present form, in BY35. The Inn has a comfortable
old feel to it, and in winter is popular for its many open fire places( most rooms have at
least a small brazier keeping them warm through the night). The Inn is owned by Lesgon
Druinol, a Dwarf from Kaldabor, and good friend of Countess Anlustia of Silverton, for
whom he always has a room free. There are 24 rooms in the Inn, and they are slightly more
luxurious than those of the Black Adder, costing between 6 and 12 florins/night and are
generally used by travelling well to do Adventurers and Silver Merchants from Silverton.
- Light's Leatherworks:
Light setup
his leatherworks here in BY249 and has built up a reputation for his wellmade Leather and
Studded Leather Armours {Light's Armours are lighter and stronger than regular Leather and
give a 20% reduction in Weight and +1 DR }, and has many customers from Chalise Duchy.
Light is also a minor Enchanter who can enchant to the lower levels of Armour
Enchantments (ie +1 DR, +1 PD and Lighten 25% etc}
- Jerog's Blacksmithy:
Small Smithy
which mainly fixes Horse Shoes and broken Wagon Axles etc.
- Cobra's Wood Mill: Small well run
mill which turns out some nice Oak and Pine Planks and Logs.
- The High Bridge: Built in BY 25
to replace a 170 year old bridge that was beginning to fall apart, the High Bridge is of
sturdy Stone construction and has blackwood crossbeams for added support. The bridge was
built by dwarves from Kaldabor and they are quite proud of there workmanship.
- Black Adder Stables:
These Stable
are well appointed with 2 staff on hand at all times to look after the horses kept here,
it does however cost 2 florin/night per horse.
- Lazmal the Carpenter:
Lazmal is
well known in these parts for his woodwork and carvings.
