Halflings originated in a hilly grassed land now under the Bay of Sundering and many immigrated to Balien and Andoria during the days of the Empire. They now make up 15% of Balien's Population and 10% of Andoria's with a lesser proportion in other countries. They are considered to be an integral part of Balien Society and live everywhere in the country. They are a quiet rural people in general, but because of their inate curiosity, a few become adventurers, and those that do usually become notable adventurers. Halflings no longer have their own language, they adopt the language most spoken in their homes.
