The above Scroll is found in the Grand Library of Balien City and is said to have been penned by the Scholar Drisil in BY-257.This is the only information that the Characters can find on the Sword, though it seems that the Royal Family has access to more thorough information

The Hilt of Baliensbane is a Weird Dimensional Space which turns the normal hilt length into a 6' 6" space thus allowing the powerstones to recharge. This procedure has never been duplicated, though some type of Divine Intervention is suspected in its making.
The Wielder of the Sword will fight as if everything s/he is doing is of their own choice, and they will attack with no thought to their own well being or safety. Also s/he will be unable to leave the Sword until s/he has killed at least one Ruler of Balien, unless a Remove Curse Spell is Caste on him/her.
Baliensbane is a 3 ½ ft long Broadsword of Very Fine Quality. The Blade is of Fine Grade Steel, though the Tip and Left side of the blade are stained Blood Red. The Crossbar has a 30 Carat Star Ruby embedded in it and the surrounding metal is of Gold with Steel Tines extending out for 3 inches either side . the Hilt is covered with Leather dyed a deep Blood Red and topped with a 40 carat Ruby of Exceptional Quality.
